Day spa at the Sundown Inn, Sedona
Three suites where two guests and two therapists work side by side, a terrace for the sauna and steam room, and a front desk that plans the day with you.

Suite guide
All three suites hold two guests and two therapists at the same time. They differ in the light, in what stands beside the tables and in how long guests tend to stay.

Two tables side by side beside a tall window onto the trees, and a sofa for tea.

Around the inn
Sedona sits inside a ring of red rock. Most evenings end on the terrace, watching it change color.

When to arrive
Come thirty minutes before your time. Here is how the hours go from the courtyard to the last cup of tea.
Park in the courtyard and check in at the front desk. We take your coats and hand you robes, slippers and a locker.
Water or tea while the light changes. Your therapists meet you here and ask about pressure and anything to avoid.
You and your partner go in together. Two therapists work at the same time, and either of you can ask for a change at any point.
The sauna and steam room, for guests 18 and over. Read what to wear and who should ask a doctor first before you go in.
About the terraceTea and water in the lounge, and nobody hurries you out. If you want to come back, the front desk books it before you leave.
The terrace
A tiled steam room and a dry sauna cabin, added to any suite visit. Three things to know before you go in.
Guests 18 and over
Wear the robe and sandals we give you between rooms, and a swimsuit or a towel in the sauna and steam room
Ask your doctor first if you are pregnant, have a heart condition or have been told to take care with heat
Leave the room if you feel dizzy or unwell

The team
Sixteen of us work at the inn spa. These four are who you will meet first, and each practitioner's license is listed under their name.

Lead massage therapist
Garth leads the couples massage team and the hot stone visits. He sets the pace for two guests at once, so one of you can have firm pressure and the other light.

Massage therapist
Danny works the Swedish and deep tissue visits and the evening suites. He is trained in prenatal massage, which he gives with your doctor's go-ahead. He speaks Tagalog and English.

Esthetician
Aryanna gives the facials and the bridal skin visit. She begins with a skin check and a talk about what you use at home, and she tells you when a dermatologist is the better next step.
Thirty minutes before your time. That is enough to change into robes, settle on the terrace and talk with your therapists. A party of four or more arrives forty-five minutes early.
Come in whatever you are comfortable in. We give you a robe, slippers and a locker, and for massage you undress as far as suits you and stay under a sheet.
Yes. Each therapist works to their own guest's wishes, and you can ask for more or less at any point.
Prenatal massage is given by a therapist trained in it, with your doctor's go-ahead. Please ask your doctor before you use the sauna or steam room, and tell us when you book.
Yes. Parties of up to six guests share the suites at once, and larger parties take turns between the suites and the terrace. Call the front desk to plan the day.
